This may be so. But I vaguely recall (my email has been dead for a week because 
someone re-arranged our mail servers and didn't tell me) that this was a case 
where both the "create boot disk" and "install lilo" parts of the installation 
failed. I ended up booting from the install disk, using the rescue disk and 
creating both those things with a chroot. But I forgot to generate the initrd 
image, so I probably had no driver available.

If the driver is in the initrd, it should be loaded automatically when needed 
during the boot, but that will not work if I don't have a proper initrd image.

Neither of these explains why my AHA2945 controllers are not seen by the RedHat 
6.0 install process, but perhaps the SCSI drivers are not on the NET Install 
image?
