I recall that you need to put dtc3181e=1 instead of ncr_53c400=1. Also,
leaving out the ncr_addr *MIGHT* help.
I replaced that card by a Tekram DC-390 some time ago since I needed
another ISA port, so I cannot tell from current experience.
