Make sure you have zip drive support in your kernel
or as a module. If zip support is via modules, make
sure the module is loaded before you try mounting the
disk. I do not know what './iw' is so here is what I use:
mount -t vfat /dev/sda4 /mnt/zip.
If you have a line like the one below in your /etc/fstab:
/dev/sda4 /mnt/zip vfat noauto,user,umask=0,rw 0 0
then all you need do is:
mount /mnt/zip

6 controllers?
Onboard are 2 IDE controllers , capable of hooking up total 4 HDs
You only need one extra standard IDE controller to hookup 6
For each HD on it's own IDE string you need to add 4 controllers
There are boards out there that do hardware raid on IDE disk.
I'd go that way , and check linux support prior to purchase

There are no setuid scripts on Linux. They are a security hole.
You can either write a compiled program, or use something like sudo
(most distributions include it).

/boot is when the kernel is stored. This is not the swap partition.

Due to the amount of ram you have, it would seem you need
more swap. The swap initially allocated would have been ok
if you weren't compiling stuff. It more seems you need more
hardware. If you have unformatted space on /dev/hda, I would
format this for swap. Else, if you have a spare harddrive, this
could be used for swap also.

Running RH7.0, I can't get paths to work as root. I looked in my

try and do a command, I have to type complete path. Is there
something else I need to do?

- The windowmanager itself initializing with a default,

fvwm-1.2.4r, fvwm-2.0.46, twm, bowman, (mwm-0.82 on a Sun) didn't.

I think you are asking to run Win both native and under VM using the same
"real" disk.
There used to be directions for doing this. I did it, too long ago to
remember all d-tails.
Basically tell VM wizard to use you native windows disk. Under Windows you
must first setup to allow more than one hardware setup. Then under VM use
the second config.
This requires you to chose the hardware config each time you boot windows.
Look for more info on VMware site.

I would like to install RAID 1 (Mirror) so that i can from time to

working.
My question is.
Do i make /dev/md0 (md1 and md2)

for Swap
and for / partition ?
My Partition is working in mirror, But it does not seems to be syncing
with one and another.. When I change HD1 with HD2 It is working.
but I don't see the "new" files that i have created.. Only the files
created on RH installation!!
How do I force a Re-Sync ?

Hi,
There is a known problem (bug) with Yast2 and certain Epson printers
(my 760 Stylus for instance) The solution is in the SUSE support pages
- basically, go back into Yast2 printer module and select a "uniprint"
driver. You may get an option to supply stc parameter files from a
drop down list. Select in turn until you get the printer to work

Unfortunately, I have no suggestions.
Are you sure that .bash_profile is being executed?
How are trying to start programs: through the console, in an xterm, or
what?
What does
echo $PATH

It shows me the problem. <g>
Though I'm not sure why.
I didn't look carefully enough at the paths in the profile. It gives
me a bunch of paths that are in the profile, but none of them include
sbins--they're all stuff like /usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/local/bin,
etc. I guess I need to add the sbins...
I'm wondering if this is another wonderful feature due to upgrading
from RH6.2 to RH7.0...
Thanx.
