We have used K6's and K6-2's without any problem at all with Linux
2.0.32 thru 2.0.35. They appear to be just as reliable as Intel.

I downloaded the K7 Announcement Overheads used at the Microprocessor
Forum from AMD's Home Site, which states "...Frequencies: 500MHz+ using
0.25um Technology...Scalable Multiprocessing Architecture for
Workstation and Server Markets...High Speed Alpha(TM) EV6 Bus
Technology" and "High quality, performance-optimized AMD-K7 motherboards
are planned from leading vendors in 1H99, Production BIOS are planned
from all leading suppliers including AMI, Award and Phoenix"

I will contact AMD (if no one else on this list has already done so) to
find out how they plan to implement Multiprocessing.

Cheers,
Lyle
