exporting filesystem

Hi,

I have a DELL Workstation 400 with Redhat 5.2 (2.0.36) and SMP patch on
top of it. With this setup I am trying to export a local file system 
and when I try to mount this dir. on a different machine I get 

"mount: RPC: Program not registered"

did any one see this before?? What is the solution for this problem.
