        Bah.  I've stayed out of this until now.  Can we please stop this?
        It's getting very silly.  RedHat doesn't support SMP as an option,
        they do however provide a nice, stable, SMP *ready* system if you
        choose to use it that way.  At this time SMP on RedHat is a *VALUE
        ADDED SERVICE* which should be obtained from a RedHat VAR like
        VAResearch, PenguinComputing, or any of a slew of others (perhaps
        Robert G. Brown Inc.).  If Dell is selling servers with two
        processors and not adding the *ADDED SERVICE* of enabling SMP how
        can you blame RedHat?

        RedHat is a wonderful server and workstation operating system.  I
        don't see Microsoft out there saying "We don't support SMP under
        Windows 98, but hey -- here's the source if you want to try and
        make it work."

        Can we end this now?
