Good sound card for smp linux.

Hi, I have a Dual Pentium III 450 machine that I have running Redhat 5.2
w/2.2.7 kernel.  I was wondering what a good sound card would be to use,
that's well supported by linux.  I bought a soundblaster live! card, and boy
was that a mistake.  I'm not very impressed with their attitude towards
linux.  What about the vortex based sound cards?
