Matt,
I use an older SB awe32 and also use a SB Live in my home audio
MP3 system(windoze). The SB Live is a great card!! Are you are
having problems getting the card to work? I know the awe32 was a
tad picky. Compiled kernel with sound support, then the only way I
could get the card to work was to manually load the modules and
add to the end of my local.rc to load each time at startup. If this
works make sure to comment out any sound modules loaded in the
/etc/modules.conf
Don't give up on the sb live, if you can get it to work. The card
sounds great especially at high volume levels, where noise/emi
comes into play.
