This then starts to differ from what is in the mainline u-boot repository. Having different names for the same thing in different trees will be pretty confusing for users and will mean merge conflicts on every update, a cure worse than the disease I think. Currently upstream only has Cubietruck(_FEL) but there is a pending PR which adds: A13-OLinuXinoM, Cubieboard, Cubieboard2(_FEL) and r7-tv-dongle. I believe Hans is planning a new batch as well once the current PR is processed. Upstream the boards.cfg doesn't seem to namespace devices in this way BTW. I don't know what the feeling would be if such a patch were proposed even if just for the sunxi devices. Perhaps this will all go away anyway when upstream switches to Kconfig, which looks likely to be in this release cycle.
