You can use "diffpdf" (sudo apt-get install diffpdf) to compare between the versions. "diffpdf" gives a lot of false positives as it does a page to page comparison. Another tool to compare PDFs is https://www.inetsoftware.de/products/pdf-content-comparer which comes with a 30-day trial (no restrictions). Written in Java.
