I've added a reference in
http://linux-sunxi.org/Mainline_Kernel_Howto#Adding_a_new_device,
and don't really feel there's more to add.
If you feel up to it perhaps you can point out that it is good to
start with an example of a device which is close to the one you're
adding, and then check settings like the gpio for enabling the usb
vbus in the fex file and adjust them in the dts file as necessary ?
