Hi;
I am trying to get an IOMega Dito Max drive working with ftape.
The system -
Compaq DeskPro EP serries 400mhz
IO Mega Ditto Max drive connected to on-board floppy controller
Single 3.5" 1.44mb floppy as /dev/fd0
RedHat 5.1 with Kernel 2.0.34
I've downloaded and installed the ftape 4.02 package and
built the kernel with the supplied patches and ftape support
as module support.
If I lod ftape, zftape, and ftape-internal I can get a
status of the drive with mt -f /dev/ftape status.
But, when I try and do any real i/o to the drive the
command executes but ultimitly returns an error reading/writing
the device.
There is no GTA setting in the BIOS as the docs suggest. Also, the only
bus setting is for bus mastering on the pci bus and I've tried this
both ways with no effect.
Any ideas?
Please email me as I currently do not have access to a news spooler and
this was the suggested email address to post questions to.
Thanks in advance
