I have an HP Colorado 4/8GB ATAPI drive which causes tar and bru to lock up
(I have not tried any other programs) after backing up a significant amount
of data. Tar reported a "Cannot write to /dev/ht0: Input/output error"
after hanging for over half an hour.
I am running a RedHat system with kernel version 2.0.35 and ide-tape.c
version 1.91. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
