Okay mister High and Mighty... When did you ever pay for anything you
acquired from an ftp site?
Answer a question with a real answer:
I've decided that 'tob' looks like a good script to manage backups.
I've configured things as directed in the documentation. I've specified
/dev/ftape, and created a small test.selectdir file, for a 10mb backup.
Every thing should run smoothly.
Whether running the tob script or using afio from the command line, it
does not understand that "/dev/ftape" is the archive destination. It
reports that /dev/ftape is an invalid argument.
I can make the tape do flips and jump through hoops using mt, but do not
know what afio needs.
I've looked at the man page... it reads "... | afio -o archive"
I presume that 'archive' should be replace with the destination file or
device, so one could do
'ls | afio -o /dev/ftape' for a quick test.
