I use a Colorado 1400 and the 3M (Imation) MC3000XL minicartridges
without any problem. The XL in the name indicates that they are eXtra
Long and I format them (under Doze/Windblows) to about 650MB. So I don't
see any problem in using the "XL" instead of the "normal" cartridges. I
still haven't exhausted their capacity, though, to see if ftape has any
problems there, but I wouldn't expect it to have any.
