OK I'm getting the latest unstable snapshot. With ftape 4.02 and 4.03-pre2, I
was having various strange difficulties with it. Under 4.02, I set an backup
going, and it started spewing large amounts of data into the messages log
(excerpts of what I was backing up) and after I Ctrl+Ced it, I was getting
paging errors, segmentation errors, etc, with all programs. I couldn't run
'shutdown' or 'halt' so I had to turn off. e2fcsk helpfully removed system
utilities, including itself and one or two others. =)
Under 4.03-pre2, the backup proceeded OK, but afterwards I was unable to run
any programs or anything, so I had to reset again, but lost no files this
time.
Any ideas?
