I'm having a rough time with a Colorado 1400. I am able to retension and
check the status of the drive, but when I try to format it, I get the
"Unknown format API version" error message, and nothing happens. I found
the following in a news group:

Correct, the API has changed a little bit.

But I don't understand. Does this mean it won't format? Is there a way to
fix this, or am I doing something wrong? Thank you for any help.
