Per my message the type is DDS-2 which means 4mm DAT DDS-2 a DDS-1 will only
get 1.2 gigs per 90 m tape but DDS2 will get 2 gigs native and 4 gigs native
on the larger tapes 112,160 etc The brand is almost irelevent since its SCSI
dat, the one I use is a Digital tlz07 4/8 gig native you can search price
watch for them Quantum also made dats and of course Exobyte.
