Ok,

Can someone please shed some light on me here. I rebuilt ftape
specifically for the micro-solutions back-pack type device. I have an
Iomega Easy 3200 Parallel Port tape drive.

When I run the first test "ftmt -f /dev/nqft1 status"

This is what I get:

ftape v4.03-pre-4 06/30/99
(c) 1993-1996 Bas Laarhoven
(c) 1995-1996 Kai Harrekilde-Petersen
(c) 1996-1998 Claus-Justus Heine ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
QIC-117 driver for QIC-40/80/3010/3020/Ditto 2GB/MAX floppy tape drives.

Compiled for Linux version 2.2.5-22
installing QIC-117 floppy tape hardware drive ...
ftape_init @ 0xc408c21c.
bpck-fdc.c: bpck_fdc_register @ 0xc40d1434
ftmt: /dev/qft0: Device not configured

What does this mean? I can't believe that I am the first person to run
into this.

Any help here would be great.

thanks,

Mike
