as I can see from Caldera's homepage OpenLinux 2.2 comes with kernel
2.2.5. Ftape 3.04 is really out of date as far as kernels 2.2.x are
concerned; but even ftape 4.02 is not the correct choice - some
structs in the kernel have changed, so you might be forced to upgrade
to those "unstable drivers" as they can be found at

Yes, the docs aren't up to date, but there exists some more recent
documentation in one of those unstable directories.
