I'm not a Linux professional, maybe that's why I agree completely. Linux
setup is hard, sometimes very hard. And the HowTos, when found, are cryptic
and hard to understand. And mostly not up-to-date.

**I** do not think Linux will ever be a real threat to Windows as a desktop
OS, not in near future anyway. What it will be (maybe is), and that's how I
sell Linux to my customers, its a good "server" for small companies (web,
ftp, file, maybe also database, haven't tested DBA yet).

What Linux community has to do is to make better howtos and readmes. Drop
the Windows wannabe attitude, and make good console software with good
howtos instead.

I thought of writing a long explanation why I think Windows will win the
"war", but I deleted it. This is not the right place to discuss that.

When I was able to make a test backup then I was happy with that. So Ive not
tested without them.

And... Yes this email was a waste of space and your time :-(
