hello.
I got the latest ftape, 4.x-1999_09_11.
it compiles fine and find the ditto 2G tape drive.
however, I tried ftmt command, andit never stopped. the 2 command
I tried are
ftmt -f /dev/qft0 status
ftmt -f /dev/qft0 retension
both command are issued when the tape is in the drive.
after I waited for more than a day on first command. I shutdown
the machine, and found out that the tape had reached the end
(tape is only on one rail). so I tried a brand new tape, and issue
the second command. it has been about a week and the command never
return. and I am not on site, so can't shut the machine off. any
suggestion would be great..thanks
