The patch works great for me in the sense that all my devices
work great, except for my USB hard drive.  I suspect that that
bug has nothing to do with the patch.  I haven't had time to 
confirm this, though.  I am going to try the latest kdb patch 
for 2.4.4-pre7 tomorrow and see whether I can step through the 
bug (I wasn't getting any OOPS message, so I couldn't tell 
whether the bug was triggered in the usb-ohci code).
