If you mean a userspace application that shows hiddev read and write, try:

The Linux HID documentation isn't anything like complete, and I'm working on 
other things, so don't consider that site to be anything other than "snapshor 
of work on its way to first draft" quality.

That example is designed to be run against a keyboard, to make the LEDs cycle. 
You'd need to turn off CONFIG_USB_HIDINPUT to allow hiddev to claim it. The 
code is utter crap - it was a half hour rush job. But it is the only public 
example I know of for writing hiddev.
