We are developing a new device that enumerates correctly under winXP, but it is not working with linux.
With 2.6.0-test8 we are getting this output in dmesg:
==== hub 2-2:1.0: enabling power on all ports hub 2-2:1.0: port 3, status 301, change 1, 1.5 Mb/s hub 2-2:1.0: debounce: port 3: delay 100ms stable 4 status 0x301 hub 2-2:1.0: new USB device on port 3, assigned address 3 ohci_hcd 0000:02:01.0: urb cfd19200 path 2.3 ep0out 5fc20000 cc 5 --> status -110 ohci_hcd 0000:02:01.0: urb cfd19200 path 2.3 ep0out 5fc20000 cc 5 --> status -110 usb 2-2.3: device not accepting address 3, error -110
Is your device willing to accept a SET_ADDRESS before the host asks it for any descriptors?
The error is "device not responding" to that request, which is the very first one issued to it.
