Hi,

thats right, i tested with a knoppix-linux and all was OK. But in the moment
i can't go to 2.6.

i just tried the following with kernel 2.4.25:
i made a new entry in unusual_devs like this:
UNUSUAL_DEV( 0x04b4, 0x6830, 0x0000, 0x0001,
"CYPRESS",
"External Hard Disk",
US_SC_DEVICE, US_PR_DEVICE, NULL,
US_FL_FIX_INQUIRY ),
with this my external dvd-burner is recognized as harddrive and i can write
to the dvd-ram, but as expected can't use cds or dvds in the drive anymore.
So generally it works all, but it seems there is no difference for usb-storage
or other modules between the media in the drive without using this special
entry above.
So i have the choice, to use 2 usb-storage.o modules manually when changing
media, if there is no backport from 2.6. Or would there be any side-effects i
oversee ?
