Hallo,
I think i've solved my problem (using DVD-RAM in external USB 2.0 case
with kernel 2.4.25). I experimented a bit with unusal_devs and found that:
#Using Cypress USB2IDE-Bridge for LG Multiburner 4081B
#writing to DVD-RAM and also using CDs + DVDs in kernel 2.4.25
UNUSUAL_DEV( 0x04b4, 0x6830, 0x0000, 0x9999,
"CYPRESS",
"USB 2 IDE",
US_SC_DEVICE, US_PR_DEVICE, NULL,
US_FL_MODE_XLATE ),_MODE_XLATE ),
seems to work as i wish. I can burn to CD and DVD (and also mount this
media), and i can use my DVD-RAM as expected, formatting and writing it.
Question to the experts: Could there be any side-effects, i don't know
about?
Regards
Claudio
