it's lastest firmware version. it's possible determine what it is - linux-related problem, firmware problem or any hradware prolem?
The symptom you gave is of a firmware bug. The vendor should of course fix such bugs, because they warrantied that their product would work. In the US, you'd at least be able to get your money back from the vendor.

Kernel. There'd be patches to the reset code, and patches to the ACM driver to try coping with the lockup.
I don't think "coping" could be any better than concluding the device is locked up, and then restarting it. You'd at least lose the current connection.
