Hello List,
I've been following all the discussions about the isp116x chip. I have also some problems with the this chip and postet them to this list some time ago, but I experienced something new recently. I am (also) using the Arcom Viper (PXA255) and my task is to get a bluetooth dongle working. Now the problem was is:
I start a 'pand' bluetooth connection. Everything seems to work but no packets are received at the other side. Ater this I get time out errors from 'hciconfig -a'. (With an older version of the isp116x driver I got 'broken pipe' errors.)
But then I noticed that with the following DEBUG module parameters everything works perfectly (the first three parameters are standard).
options hc_isp116x hcport=0xf4000000 hcport2=0xf4000002 irq=25 hc_verbose=1 hc_error_verbose=1 urb_debug=2
Why can this be? I use 'isp1161 USB HCD for Linux Version 0.9.5 (10/28/2001)' and Viper 3.5 Viper 3.7 with the Tango driver seems not to work with my USB bluetooth dongles as this example (with bogus bd address) shows:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root# hciconfig -a hci0: Type: USB BD Address: 00:00:00:00:00:00 ACL MTU: 0:0 SCO MTU: 0:0 DOWN RX bytes:0 acl:0 sco:0 events:0 errors:0 TX bytes:0 acl:0 sco:0 commands:1 errors:0 Features: 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 Packet type: DM1 DH1 HV1 Link policy: Link mode: SLAVE ACCEPT
