Does this work for you? With it you should get the right product/manufacturer strings when you plug it in (also in /proc/bus/usb/devices), and the right MAC address.

Many thanks! It looks like perfectly working now. The Manufacturer field is here and the mac address is detected. If I encounter more problems with the device I'll tell you.
