I've try to use the module usbserial for using a POS-Lineprinter from EPSON. After I load the driver with modprobe usbserial vendor=0x4f8 product=0x0202 I can send characters to the printer. But I can't configure the printer by ESC sequences, because if i send the ASCII-Value 0x0A (LF), the printer get the ASCII-Value 0x0D (CR). I've test
You have to make sure the port is in "raw" mode. Do:
stty -F <device> raw
to clear all cr-lf translations, echo, etc.
You can also do this from inside a program using the cfmakeraw function. See "man termios".
