at least 26min, the first reset was at 18:11 (syslog), the last at
18:37. Is this a normal time? I had the feeling that the resets took
quite some time. The times between reset vary between 30sec and 3min.

USB host controller: hard, laptop built in
cable: will try
device: even harder with a iRiver ;-)

Thanks a lot for the good explanations. I will try to check out a
different cable and see what happens.
