I can get a functional ppp link to another modem on another telephone line.
Either it is the modem having some problems implementing retraining with the other modem, or it is a problem with the pppd daemon at the other end. I'm dissapointed that my post to the list met with no feedback at all, even pointing me elsewhere as somewhere to start. Its been quite some effort localising the problem to this degree. OK, so I did not have all the variables under control, but that is only obvious in retrospect. So much for the promise of open source help. Methinks the propaganda should be revised. -- John August _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users
