Sorry that you haven't received any help for your problem. But perhaps it is the fact that most people do not have this device, or do not have a problem with their USB modem. Your best bet for problems that go unanswered for any amount of time that deal with hardware devices (like this) is to go to your distro for support. They have both the time, money, and interest in solving problems like this.
