I actually had a 618 work fine in an my P233 machine with an ohci
controller.  Functioned perfectly as a usb storage device.  On the other
hand, copying stuff to my usb rio500 only worked occasionally.  Now, the
tables have turned and my rio works fine and the 618 rarely functions :)
New machine is uhci-based.
