No these lists should not be restricted, non-subscribers should be allowed to post freely if they wish to. Like Stephen said, I have put some filters on the lists. These catch between 2 to 8 messages a day, so if one slips through every once in a while, I think everyone can live with it. If anyone knows any better Mailman regex filters to catch these kinds of messages, please let me know, and I'll add them to the existing ones. And yes, this is now why HTML messages are not allowed on the lists, but that is a nice side benifit :) If spam bothers you that much, please install SpamAssassin <http://spamassassin.org/> on your machine and filter everything through it.
