Hi, everyone.

I am currently using USB scanner (Epson Perfection 610) successfully.
But I do not know how to set up USB printer.

I have HP JaserJet 1000 Series. (of course, USB)

I just added USB printer support in Kernel configuration and
re-compiled it.

In /proc/bus/usb/devices, I have a line:
I: If#= 0 Alt= 0 #EPs= 2 Cls=07(print) Sub=01 Prot=02 Driver=usblp

and in drivers:
  0- 15: usblp

I did not make a printer.c as a module, but I put it in bzImage

/dev is like that:
% ls /dev/usblp0 -l
crw-rw---- 1 root lp 180, 0 7 11 21:13 /dev/usblp0

In LPRngtool, I set its filter as "*auto* - LaserJet4

When I do configuration validation, no message come out.
But when I print ASCII text page, the printer does not work.
Just calm in silence.

It is hard for me to find USB printer information
But USB scanners are easy to find. :-<

Please someone help me. My sister is going to kill me just because
I pulled out the printer of windows to connect it to linux -
and simply does not work at all!!!

I do not want to be killed - I am to young to die :-)

Many thanks in advance
