I'm using a Fujitsu Lifebook P-2046 with Debian (2.4.19 kernel custom
built) and occasionally have to interface with an NAS, router, or some
other device where I need a serial port. The P-2046 has no such port
and so I'm looking into using a USB serial adapter. My primary
requirements are that it support 8-N-1 at 2400-115200 baud and I would
prefer that it not be too bulky (I only need a single port and DB9 is
fine). Of course more complete support would be great. Suggestions on
recommended purchases and kernel configuration would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,

Ken Causey
