Well I ended up ordering a Keyspan USA19QW. I downloaded the drivers
from the keyspan website and built them with 2.4.19. I can load the
module and attach the device and start minicom on /dev/ttyUSB0 and there
are a plethora of kernel messages starting with keyspan.c: that all look
OK (no obvious errors) but I just can't get any response over the serial
connection in minicom. Any help anyone can provide is appreciated. If
someone could recommend an appropriate IRC channel or maybe another list
I would make use of it. If someone would like more information like for
example the kernel message, also let me know.
