Ok - bnow I understand what you meant. I'm very
sarcastic myself, so I tend to interpret e-mails with
a bit of sarcasm. No, I haven't tried warming up the
KVM in anyway  before turning it on. It was on all day
(since 9 AM), and  by 3 PM, it still wasn't working. I
did have my main computer (running Windows XP) on all
day, so the switch was doing something.

I've tried recompiling the kernel with the USB support
built in (not modular), with no luck. During boot up,
the kernel recognizes the devices, but none of them
work. /proc/bus/usb/devices only lists the root hub on
the motherboard, and /proc/bus/usb/drivers doesn't
list the mouse or keyboard drivers (see below). 

Is there anyway to force the configuration for
devices?
