You can't run it with the stock RH9 kernel, you need a 2.5.50 or 2.6 kernel. Might be worth getting a recent 2.6.0-test, I'm using -test5 on an Athlon 1300 and it seems fine. For lsscsi itself see for example www.torque.net/scsi/lsscsi.html > It would seem that I don't really have any SCSI devices registerd. Hmmm. If you can try a new kernel, grab lsscsi from the website, install it on your system and see what it says. > Evidentally, I'm treading new ground :-| Aren't we all... > >You might need sr_mod and sg loaded. > > 'Scuse my ignorance, but "sr_mode and sg"? sr_mod. They're kernel modules. This is a learning-curve warning. :) Check out the kernel module HOWTO, you should have it somewhere on your system. A module just adds some functionailty to a kernel that otherwise wouldn't have it. All kinds of things, like support for USB, can be in modules. Those two are SCSI modules - there are a few different ones. If you want to know what modules you have loaded try /sbin/lsmod at a shell prompt. 73, Ged. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, use the last form field at: https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-usb-users
