Hey there!

I'm having a problem connecting my SiPix StyleCam to my PC with USB.

My configuration is as following:

Gentoo System, running kernel 2.4.22
The motherboard is a PC Chips M810, with a Athlon XP processor.

I've usbcore and usb-ohci compiled as modules, and loaded. The host controller
is indeed a OHCI (at least that's the output of lspci -v|grep HCI)

When I try to connect my camera to my pc, it doesn't turn on (as it should do,
and does when I'm on windows). The output of dmesg is as following:

hub.c: new USB device 00:01.2-1, assigned address 2
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=2 (error=-110)
hub.c: port 1, portstatus 103, change 10, 12 Mb/s
hub.c: new USB device 00:01.2-1, assigned address 3
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=3 (error=-110)

I've read the FAQ, and it says that I should check /proc/interrupts. I did it,
but the interrupts are increasing (ie, it isn't the problem listed in the
FAQ)

Anyway, I tried to boot it without APIC, ACPI, APM and all those acronyms, but
it didn't worked.

As a last resort, I changed the timeout value on usb_set_address to a bigger
value but the error message continued. Changing it to 0 only got me an extra
message:

hub.c: new USB device 00:01.2-1, assigned address 2
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=2 (error=-110)
hub.c: port 1, portstatus 103, change 10, 12 Mb/s
hub.c: new USB device 00:01.2-1, assigned address 3
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb.c: USB device not accepting new address=3 (error=-110)

Anyway, now I don't know what to do. Inserting the plug slowly in the camera
didn't worked either.

Thanks for your patience (and a merry christmas for you all!),
