Hello
I would like to use my PDA (Sharp Zaurus 5500) at home as wireless LAN router (it has a wireless CF card and put in its docking station there is ethernet over usb available). The banal problem is, I need to connect two male usb plugs (from the cable modem and from the docking station). So a usb hub would be a solution. My (maybe somewhat silly) question is.. i) does ethernet over usb work over a usb hub (getting an IP with a dhcp request)? How does the wireing need to be set up (modem or zaurus or nobody plugged to the uplink?)(Is there a 'master device' as usual with usb devices; or is this not the case with ethernet over usb)? ii) Would it be possible to connect in addition an external harddrive to the hub and mount it as mass-storage device while having the ethernet connection running? Thanks a lot in advance for your answers greets jonas ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
