Hello there. I am trying to use a Kensignton VideoCAM model 67014 with Linux. I bought these particularly because they're supported by the Video4Linux drivers.
If they're supported by V4L, they probably work with USB, or did work with USB. When I plug my camera in, I see no change to the usb devices. I get the following errors in syslog: Aug 13 19:50:50 EricksonL-dock kernel: usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using address 7 Aug 13 19:50:50 EricksonL-dock kernel: drivers/usb/core/config.c: invalid alternate setting 8 for interface 0 Aug 13 19:50:50 EricksonL-dock kernel: usb 2-1: can't read configurations, error -22 Aug 13 19:50:50 EricksonL-dock kernel: usb 2-1: new full speed USB device using address 8 Aug 13 19:50:50 EricksonL-dock kernel: drivers/usb/core/config.c: invalid alternate setting 8 for interface 0 Aug 13 19:50:50 EricksonL-dock kernel: usb 2-1: can't read configurations, error -22 I have no idea what might be causing this. Other things on my USB work fine. This machine is a laptop. It has USB 1.1 built in, and a USB 2.0 PCMCIA card. I get this exact same error from both sets of USB ports. Any help in getting this camera working would be very appreciated.
