my Epson C64 is loaded to different device each time I turn it on. Sometimes /dev/usblp0, sometimes /dev/usb/lp0, sometimes /dev/usb/EPSON/Stylus C64 I'm running Suse 8.2. Somebody here who has turned off that fuxxing USB-daemon an hat loaded moduels by script - and: map to the device I want, e.g. /dev/usb/lp0?
I've customers who get angry every day when Suse8.2 daemon isn't able to load the right modules when downloading photos from a USB-Camera - or might be that the wrong device is mapped. I urgently need help to load modules manually and map it to the device I need! BTW: who the hell has invented USB? I care some hours every day only about USB because it behaves hasardous. thx Ekkard ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
