Now that I've seen the detailed log, it's clear that the patch was unrelated to your problem. In fact it looks like your problem is at the hardware level. Maybe that particular USB port on your computer isn't working right, or maybe your cable is bad. Or maybe the player is no good. The only way really to tell is by trying to use the player on a different computer, and maybe also trying to use a different device on the same computer and port.
