I had the exact same problem with a similar device (same PID and VID)
and provided a patch some days ago. You can cut the patch out of this
posting:

Additionally I had some hardware trouble with my device. RxD and TxD
were crossed over (null modem setup) and the electric level was not
correct (should be +12V for logial 0 and -12V for logical 1 but
actually was only +3.5V for logical 0 and 0V for logical 1).
