Today, I bought a Lexar Media USB SmartMedia/CompactFlash/PCMCIA-reader. 
However, with the option to return it, as I was less than sure whether or not
it followed the USB mass storage specifications. From the look of the mailing 
list, it doesn't, either, can anyone confirm/deny it?

Anyways, is there any hope of getting it to work in the near future? Does 
anyone know anything about it?  I'll return it if it doesn't work, but will be 
willing to participate in testing/debugging and perhaps developing - although 
I haven't done any kernel development at all before.

So, basically I'm looking for advice.

Should I:

a) return it, it will most likely never work

or

b) keep onto it, it'll work in not too distant future
