Hi Thanks for the help regarding cd writer hardware... I ended up getting a btc 161040, but am not sure what is causing the following errors. It will blank a cdrw no problem but comes up with these complaints when trying to cut either a cdrw or cdr. I have inserted append="hdd=ide-scsi" for the current kernel in lilo.conf and cdrecord -scanbus shows nothing alarming...
Does anyone have an idea of what this might mean??
