Yes - I have a squid machine at home and at work... the work one
generally produces a saving of traffic of the order of 10 to 30%

My work squid server hasn't got enough disk space or ram to be as
effective as it could be, but 30% of our 5 Gb cap is 1.5 Gb more
traffic.  I strongly recommend you all look at a web cache/proxy.
